Hello everyone. Below is a bit of painting practice that got a bit out of hand. Only wanted to paint over a sketch of a dragon but ended up painting two, plus a horse and an environment, oh well.
Thought it would be interesting to share a wip from very early on. Ended up cutting a lot of the environment out, it would have been useful if I wanted to put another character in the foreground but without anyone or anything else there it was extraneous. A good reminder to always plan composition in the early stages to avoid wasting time. I'll probably attempt another painting at some point with a color scheme closer to this earlier stage.
Also, as promised in the title, a kid.
