This was a sort of fun practice thing. I came across a tiny photo of a wyvern maquette from the film "Reign of Fire", and used it as reference to see if I could paint something reminiscent of a sculpted model. Moved away from that idea a bit towards the end, but it was still entertaining. This is an amphithere, an obscure type of European dragon. Similar in a way to the Aztec quetzalcoatl, except without the feathers.
